About Dennis

IMG950147Growing up in a musical family – his father was a professional big band drummer –  it was obvious from an early age Dennis was destined to be a musician.

Picking up the guitar at age 6, he was soon making his musical mark, graduating high school at 16 while still  teaching 67 students.

At 17, he and his partner were opening for Bonnie Raitt in the Boston/Cambridge area. Since then, he has dedicated his life to music, earning a B.A. in Music Composition from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, then honing his recording skills at CRAS, the Conservatory of Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ.

He has worked with many outstanding musicians including Bobby Hebb, the opening act for the last Beatles tour and writer of the pop standard “Sunny”, as well as Dennis Yost, the voice of The Classics 4 who had hits with “Spooky”, “Stormy”, “Traces of Love” and many others. He has toured with T-Bone Walker, of “Stormy Monday” fame, and blues great John Lee Hooker.

You can also find Dennis online, playing all of the instruments on several of his CDs.

Needless to say, Dennis knows music and the music industry. Many of his students have gone on to successful careers in music.

Perhaps you’ll follow in their footsteps.
